An IoT based industry 4.0 architecture for integration of design and manufacturing systems

This paper proposes an Internet of Things (IoT) based 5-stage Industry 4.0 architecture to integrate the design and manufacturing systems in a Cyber Physical Environment (CPE). It considers transfer data through Cloud/Web-based (CW) services discusses effective way them. In 1st stage, Radio-Frequency IDentification (RFID) technology containing Computer Aided Design (CAD) data/models product with ability / redesign is scanned sent secure Internet/Cloud Server (CS). Here CAD models are auto identified displayed Graphical User Interface (GUI) developed for purpose. From RFID data/models, 2nd stage adopts unique machine learning technique(s) identifies & features information required manufacture. Once identified, 3rd handles necessary modelling changes as manufacture part by verifying suitability process-based user input from GUI. Then, it performs Process Planning (CAPP) sequence cloud server designed using web-based scripting language. After this, 4th generates Manufacturing (CAM) toolpaths continuous retrieval tooling database web updating all information. The various processes involved stages completed ‘Agents’ (a smart program) which uses search find algorithms handle process plan required. Finally, 5th approves instructions completing production approved sheets Numerical Control (CNC) machine. this article, proposed explained concept IoT help industries driving towards improving productivity, reducing lead time, protecting security maintaining internationals standards regulations applied their workplace.
